How booking works.
1. Pick a service.
Browse cleaners, gardeners, or other local providers in your region.
2. Send a request.
Tell the provider what you need. They'll reply with a fixed price. No bidding.
3. Pay when the job's done.
Your card is held but only charged when you confirm the work.
Built to protect both sides.
Every provider passes a Stripe identity check before going live, and I approve each one myself. Payments stay on the platform: the customer's card is held when they book and only charged when they confirm the job is done.
Your contact details are shared only after a booking is paid, and reviews can only be left on completed bookings. There are no bank-transfer workarounds, and phone numbers stay private.
For providers
Earn between the bells, on your own terms.
Set your own rates and choose when you work. Customers send you requests, you reply with your price, and you're paid through Stripe once the job's done.

- You keep every dollar you quote.
- Requests come straight to you. Quote your price and take the jobs you want.
Your calendar runs the bookings.
Set the hours you work and block out the ones you don't. Customers book straight from the times you've marked free, and nothing goes in your calendar until you accept it.
Accepted jobs land straight in your week, and customers can book you up to 90 days ahead.

Hi, I'm Nikki, the person behind BetweenBells. I moved to Alexandra a few years ago and quickly realised I needed help with jobs around the house. But other than Facebook, it was hard to find anyone!
Now that I've been here a while, I've met loads of awesome locals. Whether you're a cleaner, gardener or handy at odd jobs and want to earn a bit of money, or you need to book someone to help you out, I'm here to help. That's what this site is for.
Why “BetweenBells”? The school bells. Loads of locals fit their work in between drop-off and pick-up, so the name felt right. But it's not just school hours. Providers here work whatever hours suit them.
